Dojo Tron: what you are looking at

A coach's one-page guide. Jungle Gym Martial Arts.

NOT FINISHED YET. This is a test copy. Names, screens and colors can still change, and some of what you see is made-up practice information. Do not treat anything on it as the real roster yet.

The color on the left edge of a lead

Every lead has a colored stripe down its left side. The color tells you where that person is with us and what you do next. Nothing else.

ColorWhere they areWhat you do
RedNobody has called them yet, OR they missed their trial class.Call right now.
OrangeSomeone called or texted. Nothing is booked.Call again.
YellowA class is booked, but no person has spoken to them since.Call to confirm.
TealBooked and confirmed by a person.Nothing until the day.
PurpleTheir trial class is today.Make sure they walk in.
GreenThey came to class and have not signed up.Close them.
BlueThey joined. They are a student now.Nothing.
GreyThey said not now and gave a date.Nothing until that day.
Pale greyDone. They are not coming.Nothing.

Red means pick up the phone, every time. Two kinds of lead are red, nobody called them and they missed their class, because you do the same thing with both. The words under the name say which one it is. For how long they have been waiting, read the date in those words.

Today

The screen you open on. Your whole day in order, most urgent at the top. If Today is empty, you are done.

Trials todayComing in for a trial class today.
New leads to callNobody has called them yet.
Follow upCalled or texted, nothing booked.
Came to class and hasn't joinedThey showed up. Close them.
Trials tomorrow: text them tonightSo they remember.
Booked more than a day outOffer them today's class instead.
Didn't come to their trialBook them a new one.
Not now: time to check backThe date they gave you has come.
Booked, but the class can't happenSomething is wrong with the class. Fix it.
Renewals dueA student's term is ending.
Regulars who stopped comingSomeone who used to be here is gone. Call.
New students falling behindA new student is slipping. Call.
Wins to celebrateGood news. Say something to them.

On a student card, a red edge means the same thing it means on a lead: call them now. Only the two slipping-away sections get a color. Renewals and wins have a plain edge, so a color on this screen always means one thing.

Every screen

You may not see all of these. Each login only gets the screens that login is allowed to open, and anything with money on it is hidden unless you are allowed to see money. A screen missing from your phone is not broken.

ScreenWhat it holds
TodayYour day in order. Leads to call and students to check on, most urgent first.
LeadsEvery person who asked about classes and is not a student yet. Search by name or phone number.
MessagesAnything Nina took while nobody was at the desk. Calls and texts that need a human.
Ready-made textsTexts already written for you. Pick one, it fills in their name and details, you check it and send. It sends from your own phone, so they get it from you. English or Spanish picked automatically.
Referral ticketsPat's referral contest. Who has the most tickets, who referred who, and Confirm or Double a referral. You can also add tickets by hand.
MarketingThe plan for what goes out and when: a board, a calendar by week, month and year, and every piece saved in one place. A planner only. It writes nothing and sends nothing.
StudentsThe whole roster. Belt, program, when they were last here. Tap a student to open them.
Related peopleParents, brothers and sisters. Who belongs to who.
Check-insWho came in, by program, with the time. Today plus the week before it. You can add one by hand if the tablet missed it.
After-schoolThe after-school pickup group.
Private lessonsOne-on-one packages. Who has lessons left, the next seven days, a month calendar, and your own calendar link.
CampsCamp sign-ups.
Renewals and billingThis month's bills, renewals, who is behind. It charges no cards and sends no bills. Payments get typed in after the money comes in somewhere else. Only a login allowed to see money sees any amount.
NumbersHow the school is doing: leads, trials, how many showed up, how many joined, where leads come from, students gained and lost. You can tap a number to see the actual people behind it.
TrainingHow to sell a membership, and a quiz on it. Six tabs: the stages of the sit-down talk, what parents usually say and how to handle it, schedule tips, the price steps, the five closes with the exact words, and what to do after they say yes. Mark each one as you go through it and the tile turns gold. Then take the nine-scenario quiz.
SettingsSchool setup. Owner only.
